1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using FactFound.ai (“the Platform”), you (“User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and any additional rules, policies, or guidelines posted on the Platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

• You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to use the Platform.
• You may register using email/password or supported social authentication providers (Google, Facebook, Apple, GitHub). Integration with these providers is being finalized; some functionality may not yet be fully available.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Platform Features & Access

FactFound.ai is a modular, globally accessible platform designed for transparent submission, validation, arbitration, and curation of facts and claims. Platform features are continually evolving; not all planned functionalities are publicly available. Access to certain features may be subject to role, reputation, or credit requirements.

4. User Responsibilities

• You agree to provide accurate information and use the Platform only for lawful, ethical purposes in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• You may not attempt to interfere with the security, integrity, or proper functioning of the Platform, nor attempt to access any data or systems without authorization.
• You are solely responsible for the content you submit, validate, or arbitrate on the Platform. You agree not to post or submit any unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content.
• You must not misuse social authentication or attempt to create multiple accounts for malicious, fraudulent, or manipulative purposes.

5. Platform Data, Reputation, and Credits

• Platform interactions may involve credits, badges, or reputation scores. Credits may be purchased via Stripe or earned for contributions, and are subject to the platform’s evolving incentive protocols.
• All significant platform events (including submissions, validations, disputes, arbitration, and credit/reputation changes) are logged immutably for audit and compliance.

6. Intellectual Property

• All original code, protocols, and documentation for FactFound.ai are open source and may be used or forked in compliance with the applicable open source license.
• User-submitted content may be published, anonymized, or exported as part of the platform’s transparency and auditability objectives, subject to privacy and compliance controls.

7. Privacy and Data Deletion

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. For details on how to request deletion of your data, including Facebook login accounts, please visit our Data Deletion Instructions page. Please review both to understand how we collect, process, protect, and, when requested, erase your data.

8. Security & Auditability

• The Platform implements industry-leading security protocols, cryptographic controls, and immutable ledgers. User actions may be publicly auditable, subject to pseudonymization and compliance requirements.
• You agree to promptly notify us of any security incidents or unauthorized access.

9. Changes to Service or Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform, or to update these Terms, at any time. Notice of material changes will be provided through the Platform or to your registered email address. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform for violation of these Terms, unlawful activity, or at our sole discretion. You may request account deletion at any time.
• Termination does not relieve you of obligations for actions or data submitted during your account’s active period, including audit logs retained for compliance.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, FactFound.ai and its contributors disclaim all liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the applicable courts of the United Kingdom.
